Hales Group are pleased to be supporting a well-established business in Reydon with the recruitment of a Warehouse / Labourer Operative on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on role suited to candidates who enjoy manual work and working as part of a hardworking warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations through unloading, moving, sorting and preparing stock while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Key Duties Include:
- Loading and unloading containers, vehicles, and deliveries by hand
- Moving stock and materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently
- Heavy lifting and manual handling of products on a regular basis
- Assisting with the assembly, packing, reworking, and preparation of products
- Stacking, wrapping, and palletising goods ready for dispatch
- Sorting incoming stock and placing items in designated warehouse locations
- Supporting warehouse teams with general labouring and housekeeping duties
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards
- Assisting colleagues with ad hoc warehouse tasks as required
- Following all company health and safety procedures at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, labouring, production, or physically demanding role is preferred
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the shift
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Reliable, hardworking, and punctual with a strong work ethic
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team
- Flexible approach and willingness to support different warehouse functions
- Forklift experience or licences would be advantageous but are not essential
- Looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential for permanent employment
Working Hours & Pay
Location: Reydon
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am to 4:00pm
Days: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x standard rate
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
