Warehouse Manager | Sheffield | £40,000 - £44,000 | Monday to Friday

Elevation Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established SME distribution business in Sheffield. They are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations and lead a committed team.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be responsible for keeping goods moving efficiently, accurately and safely, while building a team that takes pride in its work. The business is growing, and you will have real influence over how the warehouse develops.

The role

• Manage all inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound dispatch operations
• Lead, motivate and develop a warehouse team, including rotas, performance and training
• Plan resource effectively to meet customer deadlines and service levels
• Maintain high standards of stock accuracy, including cycle counts and stock reconciliations
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
• Manage MHE, equipment maintenance and site safety checks
• Work closely with transport, customer service and purchasing to resolve issues quickly
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce cost
• Report on KPIs and operational performance to senior management

About you

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor within a distribution or logistics environment
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead from the front
• Good working knowledge of WMS and stock control systems
• Sound understanding of health and safety in a warehouse setting (IOSH, NEBOSH or similar is advantageous)
• Organised, practical and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in an SME or growing business is an advantage
