Our client, who are market leaders in their industry are looking for a Warehouse Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of their UK warehouse operations.
This is very much a hands-on management role requiring strong operational leadership skills.

The main responsibilities include overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of products. The successful candidate will need to ensure excellent attention to detail is always adhered to and that high standards of health and safety compliance are at optimum at all times. Most of the goods are shipped within the UK and Europe, Germany, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The role also requires someone with excellent organisation and customer service skills.
Ideally you will have a relevant qualification in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Main Tasks include:
- Full management of daily warehouse operations.
- Leadership, coaching and development of warehouse staff, a team of 3.
- Inventory control and stock accuracy management and overseeing goods receiving, storage, picking and packing and dispatch.
- Ensuring the warehouse is Health and Safety compliant and continuous improvement and 5S implementation.
- Monitoring of KPI’s and performance reporting.
- Coordinating with customer service, sales and transport providers and management of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Investigation and resolution of stock and delivery discrepancies.
Competencies required for the role:
- Strong knowledge of goods receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
- Experience in managing warehouse health and safety requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational skills, strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with inventory control and management and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in warehouse management or a similar logistics leadership role.
- Proven experience managing Goods Receiving, Inventory Control, Picking, Packing, Stock audits and 5S management.
- Experience leading and developing warehouse staff.
- Experience resolving stock discrepancies and delivery issues.
Additional requirements:
- Forklift Truck licence preferred.
- Good understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems, ideally SAP.
- Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and warehouse best practices.
- Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

- Hours are 09.00 to 17.15 Monday to Thursday and 09.00 to 16.00 on Friday
- Holidays start at 25 days per annum, with an additional 3 days at Christmas
