Warehouse Manager

Food Manufacturing

Leicestershire

Monday to Friday | £60,000

There are plenty of people who can keep a warehouse running.

There are fewer who can walk into a growing business, look at what’s working (and what isn’t), and build a warehouse operation that’s ready for the next stage of growth.

That’s exactly what this role is about.

We’re working with a highly successful food manufacturing business in Leicestershire that has grown significantly over recent years and has ambitious plans for the future.

With continued investment into people, processes and systems, they’re now looking for a Warehouse Manager who can bring leadership, structure and continuous improvement to their outbound operation.

This isn’t a role where you simply inherit a process and keep things ticking along.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of the warehouse function, define what good looks like and build an operation capable of supporting further growth.

You’ll take full ownership of the warehouse operation, leading a team, improving processes and ensuring customer orders leave safely, accurately and on time.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the day-to-day warehouse operation and developing a high-performing team
  • Managing outbound activity including picking, loading, stock rotation and order fulfilment
  • Driving improvements across warehouse processes, efficiency and cost control
  • Owning warehouse KPIs including OTIF, picking accuracy, load efficiency and stock accuracy
  • Managing relationships with third-party hauliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring the warehouse remains safe, compliant and audit-ready
  • Coaching and developing the team, creating a culture where people understand expectations and deliver against them
  • Identifying opportunities to improve ways of working through continuous improvement initiatives

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience managing a warehouse operation within a food manufacturing company.
  • Experience leading teams of 40+ people
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, systems and KPI management
  • Experience working with third-party transport providers
  • A background within food manufacturing would be advantageous
  • The ability to challenge, improve and lead from the front

If you’re looking for a role where you can improve an operation, develop a team and play a key part in the next phase of growth, this is worth a conversation.
