Warehouse Manager (Interim – 6 Month Contract with potential of becoming permanent)

Location: Uxbridge
Hours: 40 hours per week (typically Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm)
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term (Strong Potential to Become Permanent)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, family-run foodservice business with an outstanding reputation built over decades of supplying premium hospitality customers across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a busy chilled warehouse operation on an initial six-month contract, with a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent for the right person.

The Role

You'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a busy chilled warehouse, ensuring orders are picked accurately, stock is managed efficiently, and the warehouse team consistently delivers excellent standards in a fast-paced environment.

Working hours are typically 7:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is essential to meet operational requirements, with very occasional Saturday working required when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the chilled warehouse.
• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and food hygiene.
• Oversee stock control and inventory accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure excellent customer service.
• Support recruitment, training and performance management of warehouse staff.
• Ensure company policies and operational procedures are followed at all times.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience managing a warehouse operation, ideally within foodservice, FMCG or another chilled environment.
• Is an inspiring leader with excellent people management skills.
• Has strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Has a good understanding of warehouse systems, stock control and health & safety regulations.
• Is flexible and willing to adjust working hours when operational needs require.
