Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Reading
Paying: £13.50 per hour
Working: Monday to Friday - Night shift – 7pm to 5am
Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Operative plays a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of lighting products. You will help maintain stock accuracy, pick and pack orders, and assist with inventory control, contributing to a smooth and safe warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, check, and store incoming lighting products and materials
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to customer and project requirements
- Load and unload deliveries, ensuring all items are handled safely and efficiently
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, forklifts (if certified), and scanners
- Assist with product labelling and quality checks
- Assist the production team when warehouse duties are completed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving equipment as required (reasonable adjustments available)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
