We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative / Reach Truck Driver to join our client’s busy logistics team. In this role, you will play a key part in the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse, with a strong focus on Reach Truck and forklift operation. You will be responsible for loading and unloading deliveries, moving and storing stock, replenishing locations and supporting goods-in and goods-out activities. The ideal candidate will have solid warehouse experience, a valid Reach Truck licence and a strong focus on safety and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Reach Truck to move, load, unload and store goods throughout the warehouse
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and in line with company procedures
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries using the Reach Truck
  • Put away stock into designated warehouse locations, making efficient use of available storage space
  • Replenish stock locations, racking, trays and bins as required
  • Accurately pick and move components and stock for internal teams and outbound orders
  • Prepare goods for despatch, ensuring orders are correctly picked, packed and documented
  • Check incoming deliveries against paperwork, identifying any damaged, missing or incorrect items
  • Carry out stock movements and support regular inventory counts to maintain stock accuracy
  • Undertake banksman duties, helping to safely coordinate vehicle and forklift movements around the warehouse
  • Ensure safe pedestrian management when operating forklifts and moving goods
  • Assist with general goods-in and goods-out activities, including collections, returns and outbound shipments
  • Complete basic warehouse administration including manifests, stock transfers, barcoding and related paperwork
  • Carry out routine checks of forklifts, pallet trucks, racking and other warehouse equipment, reporting any issues
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment and follow all relevant health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience operating a Reach Truck in a busy warehouse environment
  • Valid Reach Truck Forklift Licence is essential
  • Confident and competent operating a Reach Truck in warehouse and racking environments
  • Experience loading and unloading deliveries and safely moving stock around a warehouse
  • Experience with stock put-away, replenishment and inventory movements
  • Banksman training or experience would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
  • Strong awareness of pedestrian and vehicle safety when operating forklifts
  • Good attention to detail when handling stock, picking orders and checking deliveries
  • Comfortable using warehouse systems and basic IT applications
  • Good numerical and organisational skills
  • Physically capable of moving boxes and equipment weighing up to 20kg
  • Able to work independently and manage your workload in a busy environment
  • Reliable, adaptable and safety-conscious
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong team player with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and service
