Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative

Location: Horsham – due to the location, applicants will ideally have their own transport
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm
Contract: Temp to Perm

Talented People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Horsham for an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join their busy warehouse team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is looking for a long-term position with a supportive and established company.

Working as part of the warehouse team, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation, ensuring stock is handled safely and efficiently and customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance and Reach forklifts

• Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing deliveries

• Moving, locating and storing stock safely throughout the warehouse

• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately

• Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations

• Ensuring stock is handled correctly and safely

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment

• Working closely with the wider warehouse team to ensure daily requirements are completed efficiently

Experience & Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence – essential

• Reach Truck Licence would be advantageous, although training can be provided

• Previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative, Forklift Driver or within a busy warehouse environment

• Full UK driving licence and own transport preferred due to the location

• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures

• Reliable, hardworking and comfortable working within a team

• Good attention to detail and a positive approach to work
