About the Role
As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring products meet strict quality standards and production targets. Working across manufacturing and warehouse areas, you'll be involved in component assembly, quality inspection, material movement, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a busy team.
Main Duties
- Inspect cans and components to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Assemble small components to create valves using automated production equipment.
- Support manufacturing processes, including press maintenance, wash bay operations, and degreasing activities.
- Move pallets and materials safely around the warehouse and production areas.
- Assist production teams to achieve daily targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Support the valve assembly department as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure machinery operates efficiently to achieve production targets while adhering to GMP standards.
- Provide operational cover for colleagues during breaks and absences.
- Verify that batch components match production work orders.
- Conduct routine safety checks and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
- Wear and maintain required PPE, including safety glasses and safety footwear.
- Complete production documentation, process logbooks, and product identification labels accurately.
- Communicate effectively during shift handovers, highlighting schedules, machine performance, and quality checks.
- Support trainees and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
- Work closely with Team Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Quality teams to resolve production issues.
- Comply with all site regulations, safe working practices, and company procedures.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- Previous experience within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, production, or quality-focused environment.
- Practical mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach.
- Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic, particularly regarding safety and quality.
Desirable
- Experience operating manufacturing or automated production machinery.
- Basic fault-finding and machine troubleshooting knowledge.
- Understanding of customer quality requirements and manufacturing standards.
