Consolidation & Shipping Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Consolidation & Shipping Operative to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment in Bedford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, goods-in, consolidation or shipping experience who is looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday position with the opportunity to become permanent.

The Role

Working within the Consolidation & Shipping department, your responsibilities will include:

• Consolidating products and materials ready for dispatch
• Preparing orders for shipping
• Picking, checking and organising goods
• Ensuring products are correctly labelled and packaged
• Loading and unloading goods as required
• Moving stock and materials around the warehouse
• Carrying out regular manual handling duties
• Working closely with the warehouse and production teams
• Ensuring shipments are prepared accurately and on time
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following all company health & safety procedures

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within consolidation, shipping, goods-in, dispatch or warehousing
• Good attention to detail when checking orders and shipments
• Experience with manual handling
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• Good organisational skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Previous manufacturing or cable industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential

Working Hours & Benefits

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Temporary to Permanent opportunity
