Warehouse Operative

Location: Southampton
Pay: £12.71 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £15.01 per hour after 12 weeks
⏰ Shifts: Full-Time & Part-Time available
Start Date: Candidates can start as early as 14th September 2026

Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a large, well-established parcel distribution and logistics company based in Southampton.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and fast-paced operation, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Full-Time:

• Monday – Friday
• 00:30 – 09:00
• 40 hours per week

Part-Time:

• Saturday & Sunday
• 00:30 – 09:00
• 16 hours per week

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Sorting parcels and goods according to delivery locations
• Scanning parcels using handheld scanning equipment
• Moving stock and parcels around the warehouse
• Picking and packing goods accurately
• Loading parcels onto conveyor belts and into vehicles
• Manually handling and moving parcels of various sizes and weights
• Carrying out heavy lifting as part of your daily duties
• Repetitive lifting, bending, reaching and standing for extended periods
• Ensuring parcels are handled carefully to prevent damage
• Checking labels and delivery information for accuracy
• Working to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area
• Following all company Health & Safety procedures
• Reporting damaged goods, discrepancies or hazards to management
• Working as part of a team to ensure daily targets are achieved
• Supporting other areas of the warehouse when required

• Are comfortable with physical and manual work
• Are able to carry out heavy lifting throughout the shift
• Are happy working on their feet for long periods
• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Have a good attitude and strong work ethic
• Are reliable and punctual
• Can follow instructions and Health & Safety procedures
• Are comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks
• Can work well independently and as part of a team
• Have good attention to detail

Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided to suitable candidates.
