Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives (Logistics) to join the Ambient Department for one of our well-established distribution clients.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, with a 12-week probation period through Berry Recruitment before transferring to a permanent contract.

• Start time: 5:30am

• Flexible finish time

• Working between 6 and 8 hours per shift

• Alternate weekends required

• £12.90 per hour

• Paid weekly during your first 12 weeks

As a Warehouse Operative (Logistics), you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and ensuring the working environment is safe, organised and ready for the picking team.

Your duties will include:

• Sweeping and maintaining a clean warehouse environment.

• Pulling pallets forward to ensure stock is easily accessible.

• Unwrapping pallets ready for picking and distribution.

• Clearing spillages promptly and safely.

• Supporting the Ambient team with general warehouse and logistics duties.

• Assisting with additional tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of the operation.

• Following all health and safety procedures at all times.

• A positive and reliable attitude.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Good attention to detail.

• Willingness to undertake manual handling duties.

• A flexible approach to work and the ability to work as part of a team.

• This is a long-term opportunity with a view to becoming permanent after the initial 12-week agency period.

• This role is not suitable for students who are on their summer break and planning to return to education in September, as we are looking for candidates seeking long-term, permanent employment.

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a drug and alcohol screening on their first day of training.
