We are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a busy and established operation in Wellingborough.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The position will involve manual handling and regular heavy lifting, so a good level of physical fitness is important.
THE ROLE
You'll support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and prepared accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Manual handling and lifting of potentially heavy goods.
- Checking incoming goods against delivery paperwork.
- Picking and preparing customer orders.
- Packing and labelling goods ready for dispatch.
- Moving and organising stock throughout the warehouse.
- Preparing goods for collection and delivery.
- Assisting with vehicle loading where required.
- Carrying out stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate warehouse records and system information.
- Working closely with sales, production and transport teams.
- Ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Following all company Health & Safety and manual-handling procedures.
- Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties as required.
We're looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable and physically capable, with a positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or distribution experience.
- Experience with manual handling and lifting.
- The physical capability to safely handle heavy or bulky items throughout the working day.
- Good attention to detail.
- A reliable and hardworking approach.
- Good organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to work at pace while maintaining accuracy.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety.
