Warehouse Operative
Location: Colchester, Essex
Pay: £13.12 per hour
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a leading and established manufacturing company based in Colchester, Essex. This is an ongoing temporary position with potential long-term opportunities.
This role plays an important part in the day-to-day operations of a busy logistics team and requires a hands-on, adaptable approach.
Responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative:
- Loading and unloading vehicles by hand
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders
- Supporting with admin duties including liasing with customers, using in-house computer systems and entering information into Excel.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily operational targets
- Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe and tidy working environment
The ideal Warehouse Operative:
- Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks and being on your feet all day
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Comfortable using computer systems
- Flexible and willing to learn and support different areas of the operation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
