Warehouse Operative

A well-known company based on an industrial estate in Skelmersdale, WN8. You'll be working in a warehouse environment, mainly operating PPT (Power Pallet Truck), VNA (Very Narrow Aisle), and FLT (Forklift Truck) equipment. Previous experience or a certificate in operating this equipment is an advantage; however, training and assessments will also be provided on-site. Flexibility is required, as you'll need to be willing to operate Forklifts, VNA, and PPT trucks.

 Shifts and Pay Rates

• Any 5 in 7 Days: £12.71 per hour (OT £19.07)
• Any 4 in 7 Days: £13.71 per hour (OT £16.52)

(Night Premium: +£1.00 per hour for all hours worked between 6pm and 6am)

• 4 on 4 off Rotating: £13.43 per hour (OT £17.46)
• 4 on 4 off Days: £13.07 per hour (OT £16.99)
• 4 on 4 off Nights: £13.98 per hour (OT £18.18)

Position: Full time, ongoing, with the possibility of a permanent contract. 

Working Time
Several shift patterns are available, on rotating days or nights only, across 8- or 12-hour shifts. Flexibility is needed, as weekends may be required due to operational needs. 

Warehouse Operative Duties

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move stock around the production line
• Load and unload deliveries as required
• Carry out quality checks and inspections on incoming/outgoing stock
• Perform daily FLT safety checks and report any faults
• Work flexibly across different areas of the factory as needed
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures at all times

About You

• Experience in a similar environment is desirable — full training will be given
• Good attendance record
• Flexible to carry out overtime when required
