Warehouse Operative

You will support the smooth running of the warehouse, ensuring stock is received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched safely, accurately and on time.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
- Receiving stock deliveries and checking quantities, quality and contents
- Accurately recording stock information manually and on the computer system
- Safely storing incoming stock within the warehouse
- Picking and cutting stock to fulfil customer orders
- Completing quality checks before products are dispatched
- Packing and dispatching orders with the correct documentation
- Using sack trucks and two-person lifting procedures where appropriate
- Following all warehouse health and safety policies
- Supporting other areas of the warehouse and wider business when required
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment would be beneficial
- Comfortable undertaking regular manual handling, including lifting items weighing up to 25kg
- Numerate, literate and confident using Microsoft Office applications
- Able to follow instructions and work accurately to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach
- Hardworking, dependable and flexible
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills
