Permanent position

Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm and Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm

£12.71 per hour

We currently have an immediate vacancy within the Stores team. Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an additional team member to support operations.

This is a highly detailed role where accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities include preparing orders, picking components, and accurately counting stock to ensure that all items selected match the requirements needed to complete each job.

Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or order-picking environment, particularly involving small components, would be advantageous. Experience within a manufacturing environment would be especially beneficial.

Duties of a Warehouse Operative

• Will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving and dispatching goods
• Performing regular stock checks and audits maintaining accurate inventory records and management systems
• Receive, inspect and verify incoming deliveries
• Conduct regular stock checks and audits.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using stock management systems.
• Label and store items in designated locations
• Ensure that tools, parts, and consumables are available when needed.
• Prioritise urgent requests to minimise downtime in workshop operations.
• Provide updates on stock availability and lead times.

Experience required for a Warehouse Operative

• Previous warehouse, stores or order picking roles will be an advantage
• Good communication skills and organisational skills
• Ability to identify small parts
• Be able to work independently or as part of a team
• Maintain documentation for all stock movements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage area.
• Familiarity with inventory software and basic IT skills.
• Logistics distribution and supply chain background would be an advantage
