Warehouse Packer & Inbound Operative

About the Opportunity

Planwell Recruitment is seeking experienced Warehouse Packers and Inbound Operatives to join our client’s busy Dartford operation. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable, detail-focused individuals who take pride in handling premium products and delivering consistently high standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will support both inbound and packing activities, helping stock move accurately and efficiently from receipt through to despatch. The role requires care, pace and teamwork, particularly when preparing high-end luxury products and gift-wrapped customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive inbound stock, record items accurately on warehouse systems and put stock away in the correct locations.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products, reporting any damage or discrepancies promptly.
• Complete visual quality checks before packing.
• Pack high-end luxury products with exceptional care, including high-quality gift wrapping where required.
• Label and prepare customer orders accurately for despatch and delivery.
• Use handheld scanning equipment to process and track stock and orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse.
• Provide flexible support across the inbound and packing teams as directed.

What We’re Looking For

• At least one year’s experience in a warehouse, packing or inbound role.
• A reliable, positive attitude and a consistent work history.
• Experience working quickly and accurately in a target-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling premium products.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• The ability to learn new systems and tasks quickly.
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to work well with others.
• A clear commitment to following site health and safety procedures.
• A basic DBS check is a standard part of the onboarding process. If you do not have one, we will arrange and cover the application for you.

Shift Pattern

A rotating Monday-to-Friday shift pattern applies:

• Week 1: 7:00 am–3:30 pm
• Week 2: 10:00 am–6:30 pm

What’s on Offer

• £12.73 per hour, paid weekly.
• Overtime rate of £16.02 per hour after 12 weeks when basic hours are exceeded.
• 28 days’ annual leave, inclusive of eight bank holidays.
