Our client is a leading food distributor experiencing exceptional growth, and they're looking for an ambitious Warehouse Shift Manager to join their busy operation in Glasgow.

The Role

Reporting into the Warehouse Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for managing warehouse activities during your shift, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and leading a motivated team to deliver excellent results.

• Leading, coaching and developing warehouse colleagues
• Managing daily warehouse operations to meet productivity and service targets
• Driving a strong health and safety culture
• Monitoring KPIs and implementing continuous improvements
• Ensuring stock accuracy and effective inventory management
• Working closely with transport, planning and wider operations teams to ensure smooth customer deliveries
• Managing employee performance, engagement and attendance

As part of a busy distribution operation, this role will involve shift work, so flexibility is essential.

About You

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Shift Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Team Manager role
• Experience within food distribution, FMCG, logistics or a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• A proactive approach with the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Good knowledge of warehouse systems and operational KPIs
• A commitment to delivering excellent customer service through operational excellence
