WAREHOUSE STOCK CONTROLLER - £27,000 TO £28,246 + MONTHLY BONUS PERMANENT - FULL TIME - MONDAY TO FRIDAY (8 HOURS PER DAY/40 HOUR WEEK) WATTON AREA

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager / Stock Control Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented Warehouse Stock Controller to manage our inventory and ensure maximum supply chain efficiency. In this role, you will oversee stock integrity, track incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintain accurate digital inventory records. The ideal candidate is a methodical thinker with strong analytical skills who can minimise stock discrepancies and optimise warehouse storage space.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor inventory levels: Track daily stock movements and ensure the uninterrupted availability of critical goods.

Conduct regular audits: Lead periodic cycle counts, spot checks, and full physical stock-takes to maintain system integrity.

Reconcile discrepancies: Investigate variances between physical stock levels and system records to identify the root cause.

Manage digital records: Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with accurate stock quantities.

Enforce stock rotation: Implement First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles to minimise obsolete or expired inventory.

Liaise with internal teams: Work alongside purchasing, procurement, and warehousing teams to pinpoint and eliminate recurring operational problems.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience: Proven track record working as a Stock Controller, Inventory Clerk, or a similar role in a warehouse setting.

Technical Skills: Proficiency using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting data.

Numerical Literacy: Strong basic mathematics skills to accurately manage budgets, counts, and assembly conversions. (BOMs/KITs)

Physical Fitness: Ability to safely lift packages, walk the warehouse floor, and operate material handling equipment if required.

Key Pillars: High attention to detail, robust organisational skills, and a methodical approach to complex problem-solving.

Certifications:

1. Forklift license are ideal but not required (Counterbalance or Bendi truck)

2. An inventory management certification is a major advantage.
