This is a hands-on position combining responsibility for coordinating the warehouse team with involvement in the day-to-day operation. The successful candidate will help ensure that all warehouse activities are completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

- Monitor productivity, order accuracy and operational standards while identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes.
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and competently when required.
- Pick, pack and palletise customer orders accurately, loading goods securely into vans for delivery.
- Check incoming deliveries carefully against the relevant paperwork.
- Carry out stock rotation and stocktaking to support accurate inventory control.
- Undertake all manual-handling duties safely and follow company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse environment.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A solid background working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proven ability to operate a counterbalance forklift safely and competently—this is essential.
- The confidence to guide, motivate and support colleagues, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to carry out the manual-handling requirements of the role safely.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a busy environment.
- A reliable and punctual approach, with the ability to work the stated early-shift hours.
- The right to work in the UK.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of £32,000–£38,000, depending on skills and background.
- Permanent, full-time employment with consistent Monday-to-Friday working hours.
- Opportunities to work overtime.
- Holiday Reward Scheme and workplace pension scheme.
- A responsible and varied role with scope to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the success of our warehouse operation.
- A friendly, supportive and close-knit working environment.
