Warehouse Supervisor
Cheeky Rascals Ltd · Direct employer
Cheeky Rascals started at a kitchen table, with a van full of clever baby kit that a new mum couldn’t find in the UK, and grew into one of the trade’s most respected names. From our home in Hampshire, we source genuinely useful nursery products from around the world and get them to parents both online and through more than 200 retailers, including John Lewis and Mamas & Papas. We are driven by one idea: making parenting easier.
Our warehouse in Bordon is the engine room of the business – where the products actually get out the door. We’re after someone to keep it running smoothly and bring the best out of the team on the floor.
You’ll be joining a tight, friendly team where good work doesn’t go unnoticed and what you do genuinely counts. We’re big enough to be ambitious, but small enough that your contribution visibly matters.
All in all, Cheeky Rascals is a team of good people getting the job done and being looked after while we do it – with the staff tenure to back that up!
What you’d actually be doing
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll run the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, reporting to the Operations Manager and leading and supporting the activities that keep it running all year round.
It’s a properly hands-on supervisory role with real ownership. You’ll play a big part in setting the standards on site, and you’ll have a genuine say in how it works and in building the team around you.
Your role will include:
- Running the day-to-day: pick, pack and dispatch – accurate and on time.
- Owning dispatch end to end: couriers, customs paperwork, Amazon FBA and sorting the inevitable hiccups before they become problems.
- Leading the floor team: allocating work, ensuring holidays and absences are covered, training people and coaching them to get better.
- Keeping stock in check: goods-in, stock counts, audits and accurate system records.
- Being the go-to person for a safe, tidy, well-run site as the lead keyholder, including the checks that keep everyone safe and the doors open.
- Helping build and shape the team, with real input into hiring, induction and development.
- Spotting what could work better and making it happen: both operationally and from a customer’s point of view. We care about our customers as much as our efficiency.
- Keeping an eye on warehouse performance: monitoring workload, priorities and performance to make sure the team stays on track.
- Keeping the admin straight: using warehouse and computer systems to maintain accurate records, paperwork and reporting.
- Working closely with the wider business: keeping relevant teams updated on stock, dispatch issues, delays and anything else that could affect our customers.
You’ll fit right in if:
- You’ve led a warehouse team before and can maintain a fast pace without letting standards slip.
- You’re organised, confident with numbers and comfortable using computers, warehouse systems and everyday tools such as Excel and Outlook.
- You take ownership of problems and see them through, while knowing when to escalate.
- You lead by example and work alongside your team.
- You have a counterbalance forklift licence. Ideally, you already hold one, but if it needs a refresher or upgrade, we’ll fund it.
Nice extras (don’t worry, we’ll invest in and train the right person): first aid and/or fire marshal training.
Think you’d be great at the job? We’d like to hear from you – even if you don’t hit every point.
What you get: £31,000–£35,000 depending on experience, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, staff discount, free parking (of course!), an early 4pm finish on Fridays, and a role with genuine room to grow.
