Warehouse Supervisor

Interaction Recruitment

Warehouse Supervisor / Production Overseer / Site Safety Lead

Location: Speak, Liverpool
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor / Production Overseer / Site Safety Lead to join our client’s busy operation in Speak, Liverpool.

This is a genuinely practical, floor-based supervisory role. The successful candidate will take daily ownership of goods-in, warehouse organisation, production support, dispatch, equipment operation and site safety.

This is not an office-based warehouse management position. You will be expected to spend the majority of your working day on the warehouse floor, in goods-in, dispatch, production and yard areas — personally moving stock, operating equipment and leading by example.

The Role

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse and wider operation runs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your duties will include:

  • Receiving and unloading incoming deliveries safely.

  • Operating the forklift truck and pallet trucks as part of your daily duties.

  • Unpacking, checking and counting deliveries against purchase orders.

  • Identifying and managing shortages, damaged goods, incorrect items and discrepancies.

  • Labelling and correctly storing incoming stock.

  • Moving stock between goods-in, warehouse, production, quarantine and dispatch areas.

  • Picking, packing, counting and preparing outgoing goods.

  • Building, wrapping, labelling and staging pallets for dispatch.

  • Loading courier collections and ensuring the correct freight and paperwork are controlled.

  • Keeping production supplied with the correct materials and components.

  • Removing waste, empty pallets and packaging to maintain good workflow.

  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse, yard and loading areas.

  • Carrying out daily equipment and fire-safety checks.

  • Ensuring walkways, fire exits, access routes and operational areas remain clear.

  • Enforcing PPE and safe working practices across the site.

  • Challenging unsafe working practices, poor stacking, blocked walkways and equipment misuse.

  • Maintaining accurate goods-in, dispatch, equipment and safety records.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a hands-on warehouse, goods-in, dispatch or logistics environment.

  • Previous warehouse supervisory or team-leading experience.

  • Practical forklift truck experience with recognised operator training/competence.

  • Confidence using pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment.

  • Experience unloading, checking and putting away deliveries.

  • Good understanding of stock control, purchase orders and delivery discrepancies.

  • Experience building and securing pallets for dispatch.

  • A strong understanding of warehouse housekeeping and safe working practices.

  • The physical ability and willingness to be hands-on throughout the working day.

  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.

  • The confidence to supervise others, enforce standards and challenge unsafe behaviour.

  • A lead-by-example attitude — someone who is happy to get stuck in and do the job alongside the team.

Important

This position would suit someone who enjoys being on the warehouse floor rather than behind a desk.

You will be expected to personally handle stock, pallets and deliveries, operate warehouse equipment, support production and maintain site standards while supervising the wider team.

If you're a practical Warehouse Supervisor who leads from the front and takes pride in keeping a busy operation safe, organised and running efficiently, we'd like to hear from you.
