Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Honeywell Aerospace, BA20 2YD
Shifts; Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour

We are seeking a Waste Operations Supervisor to oversee waste management operations at our Honeywell Aerospace site in Yeovil. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient management of waste streams, maintaining excellent customer relationships, and supporting operational excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the on-site waste area and hazardous waste compound, ensuring all waste is processed safely and recycled wherever possible.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD)-free working environment.
  • Coordinate the timely exchange of recycling containers by liaising with the administration team and chemists.
  • Ensure all waste documentation is completed accurately and complies with Veolia policies and current waste management legislation.
  • Supervise the hazardous waste operative, ensuring duties are carried out in accordance with their job responsibilities.
  • Conduct safety observations, carry out regular inspections of vehicles and equipment, and report near misses using the appropriate systems.
  • Provide operational cover for the hazardous waste operative during periods of annual leave, training, or other absences.
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for the Honeywell contract, building strong client relationships and providing guidance on waste management and recycling best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and support business growth within the contract.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all Veolia and client H&S policies, procedures, and site protocols.
  • Ensure all waste is correctly segregated and disposed of through the appropriate waste streams.
  • Represent Veolia professionally, delivering excellent customer service while meeting client requirements safely and efficiently.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) operator certificate.
  • High level of chemical awareness.
  • COSHH Awareness training.
  • Chemical spill response training.
  • IOSH Working Safely qualification (or equivalent).
  • Asbestos Awareness training.
