Pennine Recruitment (acting as a Recruitment Agency) are delighted to be recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join an established business in Leeds on a full time, permanent basis.
This role gives you the chance to lead a small team and be a big part of ensuring the companies continued growth. You will be coordinating warehouse staff and drivers activities to ensure efficient use of resources whilst maintaining high standards of customer service at all times.
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Ensure that all warehouse/logistics employees carryout their allocated duties
- Ensure company policies with regards to timekeeping, clocking in/out and breaks are adhered to.
- Ensure all customers are treated in a polite and professional manner at all times.
- Organise warehouse resources correctly to meet daily demand.
- Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse
- Ensure all products are stored in the allocated location and handled correctly.
- Manage stock levels through the stock replenishment system
- Plan, organise and schedule all deliveries to ensure stock is replenished as required and loads are managed efficiently.
- Monthly stock takes as per schedule
- Ensure drivers are completing all paperwork and carryout required safety checks.
- Report any issues of damage immediately.
- Responsible for ensuring the correct PPE is worn when required by all warehouse/transportation personnel.
- Record accidents, hazards and near misses.
To be successful , you will:
- Be a proven leader and have previous experience in leading teams within a warehouse environment.
- Be able to work as part of a close knit team and be able to work collaboratively with the team.
- Have Warehouse Management System experience
- Hold forklift license - Counterbalance
- A flexible attitude
- Able to work under pressure.
- Good communication & organisational skills.
- Be able to multi-task, prioritise and manage own work load whilst turning challenges into opportunities
- Work neatly and accurately.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday - 8am-5pm, Friday - 8am-1pm
Benefits:
- £28,000 - £31,000 (dependant on experience)
- Holidays 33 days including bank holidays
