Warehouse Transformation Lead (Fixed-Term Contract)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Transformation Lead to play a key role in a major ERP-led digital transformation programme.

You'll lead the redesign of warehouse, production and dispatch operations, ensuring physical processes are successfully integrated into a new digital platform. Working closely with programme governance, operational teams and digital specialists, you'll define the future operating model and provide expert guidance throughout implementation.

This is an initial hands-on role (approximately 3 days per week), reducing to an advisory capacity (around 1 day per week) as the programme progresses.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Transformation

  • Map current warehouse, production and dispatch processes.
  • Design the future-state operational model, including stock flow, routing, scanning processes and digital workflows.
  • Develop workstreams, project sequencing and operational dependencies.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency through digital solutions.

ERP & Digital Integration

  • Translate operational requirements into clear specifications for the ERP development team.
  • Ensure digital solutions accurately reflect operational processes.
  • Support ERP configuration and system design decisions.
  • Act as the operational subject matter expert throughout delivery.

Governance & Programme Support

  • Provide operational design authority throughout the transformation.
  • Identify and escalate operational risks where required.
  • Support milestone reviews and implementation decisions.
  • Ensure the programme remains aligned with agreed governance standards.

Transformation Coordinator Support

  • Assist in defining the Transformation Coordinator role.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and guidance throughout delivery.

What We're Looking For

You'll have proven experience leading operational transformation within manufacturing, warehousing, fulfilment or production environments.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience of:

Leading ERP or digital transformation programmes.

Warehouse and operational process redesign.

Manufacturing, fulfilment or print production environments.

Creating SOPs and operational documentation.

Working closely with both operational and technology teams.

Managing multiple stakeholders within structured transformation programmes.

Experience with Odoo ERP would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working Pattern

Approximately 3 days per week during the initial 4–6 weeks.

Reducing to 1 day per week for ongoing governance, design reviews and programme support.

Hybrid working with regular on-site presence.

  • Successful integration of operational processes into the ERP platform.
  • Clear operational documentation and SOPs.
  • Effective handover to the Transformation Coordinator.
  • Maintaining design integrity through to programme go-live.
