Our client is an established multi-franchised dealership with a strong focus on outstanding customer experience, building long-lasting relationships with its customers and employees based on trust and integrity.
Working alongside a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about cars, motorhomes and caravans, they are renowned for providing outstanding customer service levels. The company specialises in new and used car sales across a variety of franchises, as well as offering genuine parts and accessories, vehicle servicing and repairs for vehicles, motorhomes and caravans.
Due to continued business growth and success, they are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Warranty Controller/Parts Advisor to work in their busy multi-franchise aftersales department.
The Role
The main aim of the Aftersales Department is to maximise utilisation, productivity and efficiency KPIs whilst maintaining high standards of customer care and working within specific targets and budget guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer all aftersales queries and book service and repair work into the diary.
- Work closely with a team of experienced professionals to control the flow of work through the workshop.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a proven customer service background with the ability to work well within a team.
You should have a solid understanding of vehicle aftersales repairs and maintenance needs. With the benefit of being a multi-franchised dealership, you will have management support from the various franchises to continually improve the department’s processes and profitability with a ‘can-do-better’ attitude.
Essential
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a busy franchised Warranty/Parts Aftersales Dealership
- Good understanding of Motor Vehicle Specifications
- Good understanding of vehicle problems, repair and warranty procedures
- Knowledge of Manufacturer operating standards
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience within a customer service-based environment
- Appropriate customer handling techniques
- Understanding of safety policies and procedures
- Experience with invoicing, billing and completion of job instruction cards
- Understanding of monetary transactions
- Ability to use general office equipment
Desirable
- Qualified to GCSE level or equivalent
- Previous experience within a similar automotive/vehicle technician role
- Knowledge of specific products and promotional information
- Knowledge of competitors’ service and pricing structure
- Knowledge of National and European regulations, restrictions and legislation relevant to the motor industry

Previous experience in roles such as Warranty Advisor, Warranty Co-ordinator, Warranty Officer, Warranty Controller, Parts Specialist, Parts Advisor, Parts Manager, Service Manager, Showroom Advisor, Workshop Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Vehicle Service Coordinator or Parts Coordinator would be relevant.
