Waste & Recycling Advisor Location: Lymington & New Forest (Field Based) Pay: £13.48 per hour Contract: 3 Months (Starting 7 September 2026) Hours: 30–37 hours per week (including some evenings and weekends) Driving: Full UK licence and own vehicle essential
We're looking for someone who enjoys speaking with people, can confidently engage with the public and is passionate about helping improve recycling in the local community.
The Role
- Visit local recycling sites across the district.
- Engage with residents, businesses and community groups to promote better recycling.
- Encourage residents to recycle correctly and explain alternative disposal options.
- Help prevent commercial waste misuse and fly-tipping.
- Promote recycling at community events.
- Record site visits and report issues.
- Respond to customer enquiries and maintain accurate records
You'll Need
Excellent communication and people skills. Experience in a customer-facing or public-facing role Confidence working independently and engaging with the public. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
