£35,735.70pa with van and fuel card
Are you an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer looking to join a growing and forward-thinking business? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established facilities services provider that delivers essential compliance and maintenance solutions across the residential, commercial, and public sectors.

The Role
As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of legionella compliance and water hygiene duties across commercial and residential properties throughout Inner London. Working independently and as part of a wider maintenance team, you'll help ensure water systems remain compliant, safe, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Water temperature monitoring and sampling
- Cold water storage tank inspections
- Cleaning and disinfection of cold water storage tanks
- Shower cleaning and descaling, along with maintenance of other outlets
- Full Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) servicing
- Carrying out minor plumbing repairs and remedial works
- Producing accurate service reports using a handheld PDA/tablet
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Responding to reactive and urgent works as required
- Working in line with all relevant health and safety procedures and regulations
- Reporting defective or non-calibrated equipment
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team
About You
We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering a high standard of service and can work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year's experience within a Water Hygiene role
- NVQ in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Legionella Awareness certification
- Plumbing experience and practical maintenance skills
- Knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 and Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999
- Asbestos Awareness training
- Working at Height certification
- Manual Handling training
- First Aid qualification
