Water Hygiene Engineer

Location: Fulham

£35,735.70pa with van and fuel card

Are you an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer looking to join a growing and forward-thinking business? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established facilities services provider that delivers essential compliance and maintenance solutions across the residential, commercial, and public sectors.

The Role

As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of legionella compliance and water hygiene duties across commercial and residential properties throughout Inner London. Working independently and as part of a wider maintenance team, you'll help ensure water systems remain compliant, safe, and operating efficiently.



Key Responsibilities

  • Water temperature monitoring and sampling
  • Cold water storage tank inspections
  • Cleaning and disinfection of cold water storage tanks
  • Shower cleaning and descaling, along with maintenance of other outlets
  • Full Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) servicing
  • Carrying out minor plumbing repairs and remedial works
  • Producing accurate service reports using a handheld PDA/tablet
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Responding to reactive and urgent works as required
  • Working in line with all relevant health and safety procedures and regulations
  • Reporting defective or non-calibrated equipment
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team


About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering a high standard of service and can work effectively both independently and within a team environment.



Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year's experience within a Water Hygiene role
  • NVQ in Plumbing (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines


Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Legionella Awareness certification
  • Plumbing experience and practical maintenance skills
  • Knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 and Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999
  • Asbestos Awareness training
  • Working at Height certification
  • Manual Handling training
  • First Aid qualification
