Water Hygiene Engineer
Location: Doncaster & surrounding areas
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 DOE
Start Date: ASAP
I’m currently partnering with a growing and highly regarded water hygiene and compliance specialist that is continuing to expand its operations across the region. Due to continued growth and an increasing client portfolio, they are looking to appoint an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer covering Doncaster and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to join a business that values high standards, technical competence and professionalism. You’ll be working across a variety of commercial, healthcare and industrial sites, managing your own workload and ensuring clients remain safe and compliant.
The Role
As a Water Hygiene Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine water hygiene monitoring, including temperature checks and flushing.
- Water sampling and collection in line with required procedures.
- TMV servicing, failsafe testing and basic maintenance.
- CWST inspections, condition reporting and compliance checks.
- Showerhead cleaning and descaling.
- Identifying non-compliances and reporting remedial requirements.
- Completing accurate service reports and compliance documentation.
- Carrying out minor remedial/plumbing works where required.
- Working in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG274 and relevant industry guidance.
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you’ll already have experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer, Water Hygiene Technician or Water Treatment Engineer and be comfortable working independently across multiple client sites.
Previous experience with TMV servicing, temperature monitoring, sampling and CWST inspections is highly desirable, alongside a good understanding of Legionella control and water hygiene compliance. Plumbing qualifications would be advantageous but aren't essential where you can demonstrate strong practical industry experience. You’ll need to be self-motivated, organised and comfortable managing your own workload while providing a professional service to clients.
In return, you’ll be joining a growing business offering long-term stability, ongoing development and the opportunity to progress your career within the water hygiene industry.
The interview process will consist of an initial telephone conversation followed by a face-to-face meeting.
If you're an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer in Doncaster or the surrounding areas and you're considering your next move, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation about the opportunity.
