Water Hygiene Engineer
Covering the North West Region
The Role of a Legionella Water Hygiene Engineer is to carry out all the below areas of Legionella control. This will include but not be limited to:
Water Temperature Monitoring Control Schemes
Disinfection (Hot and Cold Systems)
Water Sampling
TMV Servicing and fail-safe checks
Showerhead descale and disinfections
Cold water storage tank inspections
Calorifier Checks
Plumbing Remedial Works (complexity will vary with experience/training)
You will be expected to use your training and experience in water hygiene to not only provide the services a client requires but to also problem solve and look for solutions on site for any Compliance issues, if you require any support for this you can seek this from either a Senior Engineer or the Management Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Water Hygiene Engineer
- Provide routine service calls to our client base
- Manage the routine calls within your allocated sites/area and ensure an excellent state of service at all times
- Manage your area efficiently and ensure you work effectively in order to keep running costs to a minimum
- Provide onsite service additions or jobs as and when required
- Take ad hoc works wherever required when practicable and work with other colleagues to ensure any urgent call outs are responded to within reasonable timescales
- Provide informative reports to customers on the CRM system to provide details of the service provided and any headline non-conformances
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of one year’s experience in Water Hygiene is required and to either possess the relevant required qualifications for the role or pass those courses if the company needs to put you through them.
- Would consider someone NVQ level plumbing qualified
- Possess good organisational and prioritisation skills and have the ability to manage their own workload
- Be computer literate with excellent experience of Word, Excel, Internet and Email. Must be good at working with live databases/CRM.
- Be good at problem solving
- Good selling skills and a confident telephone manner
- A full, clean driving licence
- A clear DBS check (formerly CRB)
- Able to be flexible in their working hours due to the service nature of water hygiene
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude
