Water Services Supervisor in London, Greater London

Location: Charing Cross Hospital, London
Contract: 3 to 6 months, with potential to become permanent
Rate: Competitive day rate £275-£300 a day (umbrella)

We are looking for an experienced Water Services Supervisor to join a busy engineering team based at a critical healthcare site in Charing Cross.

This is a high-priority role with responsibility for coordinating engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of approximately 500 planned and reactive maintenance tasks per month.

You'll be responsible for organising workloads, allocating resources and ensuring works are completed on time, with the appropriate paperwork, records and compliance documentation kept fully up to date.

While previous experience within water management, water hygiene, L8 or HTM 04 would be highly advantageous, it isn't essential. We are also very interested in experienced engineering or maintenance supervisors coming from critical or highly regulated environments such as healthcare, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, life sciences or data centres.

• Supervise and coordinate a team of engineers delivering planned and reactive maintenance
• Manage and prioritise a high volume of maintenance tasks
• Allocate engineers and resources effectively to ensure deadlines and KPIs are achieved
• Monitor outstanding works and drive jobs through to completion
• Ensure maintenance records, paperwork and compliance documentation are completed accurately and on time
• Maintain strong organisation and control across engineering workloads
• Work closely with site and facilities management teams
• Support the delivery of water services and compliance activities
• Maintain high standards within a critical healthcare environment

You'll ideally have:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor, Water Services Supervisor or similar
• Experience managing and directing engineers within a busy maintenance environment
• Strong experience of PPM and reactive maintenance
• Excellent organisation, planning and resource management skills
• Experience managing high volumes of maintenance jobs and ensuring works are closed out correctly
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around paperwork, records and compliance
• Experience working in a critical or regulated environment, such as healthcare, NHS estates, pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratories or data centres
• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Water management / water hygiene
• L8 / ACOP L8
• HTM 04 / HTM 04-01
• Legionella management
• Healthcare estates
• NHS or hospital environments
• CAFM / CMMS systems

Direct water services experience is not essential if you can demonstrate strong engineering leadership, workload management and compliance experience within a critical environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering supervisor to take responsibility for a busy maintenance operation at a major London healthcare facility.

The initial appointment is expected to be 3 to 6 months, with the potential for the position to develop into a permanent opportunity for the right person.
