Water Treatment Technician - Mobile
Location: South London / South East London, covering Kent
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Van: Diesel company van - no personal use
 
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Water Treatment Technician to join a mobile team covering South and South East London, with some travel into Kent.
The main areas covered will include Bromley, Sidcup, Bexley and Orpington, with occasional travel further into Kent, including Canterbury.
This role would suit someone with around 9-12 months' experience within water hygiene/water treatment who has already gained hands-on experience across some of the duties below.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned water hygiene and treatment works across client sites
  • Temperature monitoring and recording
  • Showerhead descales
  • Cold water storage tank inspections and cleaning
  • TMV servicing and testing
  • Water sampling
  • Cleaning and disinfection of water systems
  • Cooling tower cleaning and disinfection
  • Complete remedial works where required
  • Maintain accurate L8 logbooks and site records
  • Complete PPM visits and service reports
  • Liaise directly with customers and site contacts
  • Complete work reports and documentation using company systems
  • Work in line with RAMS, PPE and health & safety procedures
  • Support out-of-hours work when required
Requirements
  • Around 9 months-1 year of experience within water treatment/water hygiene
  • Previous experience with some of the duties listed above
  • Legionella Awareness Training
  • Understanding of L8 ACOP and HSG274
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Computer/PDA literate
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across South London and Kent
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists check - essential
Desirable
  • TMV servicing/testing experience
  • Water sampling experience
  • Clean and disinfection experience
  • Experience with cold water storage tanks
  • WH018, WH005 or W258 training
Package
  • £28,000 - £30,000 salary

  • 1-hour each way travel time requirement

Important: Due to the location and coverage area, we are specifically looking for candidates based in South or South East London, particularly around Bromley, Sidcup, Bexley, Orpington and surrounding areas. Candidates based in North or West London are likely to be too far away for the role.
