Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer
 
Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting our client in the recruitment of an experienced Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer to join their established and growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced water treatment professional looking to join a business where technical standards, customer service and safe working are at the heart of everything they do.
Working across a variety of customer sites, you will be responsible for delivering a range of water hygiene, water treatment and closed-system services, working independently while ensuring all activities are completed safely, professionally and in line with industry standards.
 
The Role
As Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer, you will undertake a varied range of site-based activities, including:
  • Closed-system analytical testing and remediation
  • Closed-system sampling and dosing
  • Water sampling and analysis
  • Tank inspections and closed-system analysis
  • Temperature monitoring
  • Building disinfection
  • Cleaning and chlorination of water storage tanks
  • Calorifier pasteurisation
  • TMV testing and servicing
  • Showerhead descaling and disinfection
  • Spa balance tank cleaning
  • Chlorine dioxide dosing equipment installation and servicing
  • Pre-commission cleaning and flushing
  • Completing accurate reports and associated site documentation
  • Ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with ACOP L8 and relevant industry guidance
You will be trusted to manage your own workload effectively, represent the business professionally on customer sites and maintain high standards of safety, quality and compliance throughout your work.
 
About You
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background within the water treatment and water hygiene industry.
Ideally, you will have:
  • Water treatment/water hygiene industry experience
  • Practical experience with closed systems and water hygiene activities
  • A good understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG274
  • Experience working independently across customer sites
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to complete reports and technical documentation accurately
  • A full clean driving licence
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance
Experience or training in the installation, servicing and fault-finding of water softeners, including Clack, Fleck and Autotrol units, would be advantageous.
Experience with RO plant servicing and installation would also be highly desirable.
