Are you a Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist looking to step away from frontline pressures while continuing to use your clinical expertise?

As a WCA Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to understand how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their functional ability and capacity for work.

No nights. No weekends. No bank holidays. No hands-on care.

The Role:

You'll conduct structured assessments through telephone, video and face-to-face consultations. You will:

• Assess how health conditions affect an individual's functional ability
• Take detailed clinical histories using structured questioning
• Explore the impact of physical, mental and cognitive conditions
• Review medical evidence and supporting information
• Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement
• Produce clear, accurate and evidence-based reports
• Manage your own caseload while meeting quality standards and deadlines

The role is focused on assessment, evidence evaluation, clinical reasoning and report writing rather than treatment or hands-on care.

What We're Looking For:

• Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration
• Minimum 12 months' post-registration clinical experience
• Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills
• Confident communication and report-writing abilities
• Good IT and organisational skills
• Able to analyse information and make evidence-based decisions

Full Training Provided

You don't need previous Functional Assessor experience.

You'll receive structured, fully paid training covering WCA methodology, assessment techniques, evidence evaluation, clinical reasoning and report writing.
