Elevation Recruitment Group

Role: Web Content Editor

Location: Bingham, Nottinghamshire | Office-based

Salary: £35,000–£40,000

Hours - Permanent | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working with an established e-commerce business supplying a wide range of workplace, warehouse, industrial and commercial products to businesses across the UK. Their online offering covers everything from workplace equipment and storage through to safety products, handling equipment and site supplies.

The business has a large and growing e-commerce website, with thousands of products and a strong focus on making sure customers can easily find, understand and purchase the products they need.

The Role

They are looking for a Web Content Editor to join their Web & Marketing team and take responsibility for creating and updating content across their website.

This is a hands-on, practical role rather than a heavily creative or strategic position. You’ll be given the copy, product information, images and instructions you need, then use the company’s website and content management tools to build accurate, professional-looking pages.

You’ll work across product pages, category pages and landing pages, making sure everything is correctly formatted, consistent and ready to go live.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and update website pages using the company’s CMS and website tools.
  • Add and format product information, copy, images and other content.
  • Follow existing templates, page guides and brand guidelines.
  • Upload, crop and resize images where required.
  • Check pages carefully for spelling, formatting, links and general accuracy.
  • Check that pages display correctly across desktop and mobile.
  • Make amendments following feedback.
  • Highlight any missing or unclear information before pages are published.
  • Work through a steady volume of website updates while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Requirements of the role:

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience working with website content, ideally within an e-commerce environment.
  • Experience using a CMS, e-commerce platform or website editing system.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot spelling, formatting and content errors.
  • Good written English and proofreading skills.
  • Confidence using web-based systems and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • The ability to follow set templates, instructions and brand guidelines.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a steady workload.
  • A methodical and accurate approach to work.
  • Experience uploading and formatting images.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or similar image-editing software would be desirable.
  • An interest in websites, e-commerce and digital content would be advantageous.
