Trek Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Website Manager on behalf of our client a large organisation in Wrexham.
THE ROLE
You will take full ownership of a large-scale, complex website and digital web presence. Your focus will be driving strategic direction, technical excellence, content quality and continuous conversion improvement so that every visitor experience is fast, accessible, SEO-strong and conversion-focused.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Management & Development • Day-to-day management and strategic oversight of website development, enhancements and content • Champion web-first best practice in SEO, UX/UI and mobile responsiveness • Own compliance with WCAG accessibility standards
Content Management & Quality Assurance • Final gatekeeper for all web content – review, edit and approve • Primary CMS administrator and internal champion
Digital Marketing & CRO • Own and optimise organic & paid journeys from first touch to conversion • Design, build and test high-converting landing pages
Use GA4, Looker Studio and behaviour tools (CrazyEgg/Hotjar) to drive insights
Training, Process & Documentation • Train new CMS users • Create and maintain SOPs, documentation and web style guides
What We’re Looking For Essential
- Proven experience managing and developing large-scale, complex websites for sizeable commercial organisations (sites that update frequently / hourly are ideal)
- Hands-on experience with enterprise Content Management Systems
- Strong track record in Conversion Rate Optimisation, A/B testing and building high-converting landing pages
- Confident use of GA4, Looker Studio and user-behaviour tools (CrazyEgg, Hotjar or similar)
- Deep practical knowledge of technical and on-page SEO
- Solid understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and how to implement them
- Ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable reports for senior stakeholders
- Excellent editing and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge for troubleshooting and content formatting
- Strong project management skills — balancing strategic work with daily operational demands
- Exceptional stakeholder management — influence and enforce standards diplomatically across multiple teams
- Ability to write clear, user-friendly documentation and SOPs
- Experience with TerminalFour CMS
- Working knowledge of bilingual digital content requirements
- Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written)
