We're seeking an experienced Welder to join a world-class engineering and manufacturing environment in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile energy and turbine-related projects, producing high-quality pipe fabrications and assemblies to exacting industry standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Welder, you will:

  • Weld pipe fabrications and assemblies in line with approved welding procedures and engineering standards.
  • Carry out welding activities for special order requirements and casing build rectification work.
  • Produce high-quality welds while maintaining safety, quality and productivity standards.
  • Support pipe-fitting and assembly activities through tack welding and fabrication assistance.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and welding documentation.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet required quality standards.
  • Identify and rectify welding defects where necessary.
  • Work in accordance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), including WPS4000, WPS4001 and WPS4002.
  • Collaborate with pipe fitters, supervisors and manufacturing teams to achieve production targets.
  • Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Time-served welding apprenticeship or equivalent recognised welding qualification.
  • Proven experience welding pipe fabrications and assemblies.
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience working to formal welding procedures and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of weld inspection and defect identification.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to right-first-time quality.
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to support pipe-fitting activities when required.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within the energy, power generation, turbine or heavy engineering sectors.
  • Familiarity with WPS4000, WPS4001 and WPS4002.
  • Experience in pipe fabrication, module build and turbine package assembly.
  • Knowledge of casing build rectification work.
  • Experience supporting test installation and decommissioning activities.
