Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 1:30pm
Salary: Competitive, with overtime available
About the Role
Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a skilled Welder Fabricator to join their production team.
Working either independently or as part of a small, experienced team, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of structural steel components and assemblies, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of mild steel components and assemblies.
- Fabricating from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Producing high-quality welds and finished fabrications.
- Reading and interpreting technical and CAD drawings.
- Working to production schedules and agreed deadlines.
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and care of welding equipment.
- Adhering to all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.
About You
- Previous welding and fabrication experience.
- Confident MIG welding on materials 5mm and above.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Desirable Skills
- Experience reading CAD drawings.
- Experience manufacturing structural, mechanical or vehicle-related equipment.
- Knowledge of quality, health and safety procedures within a fabrication environment.
