Avid Personnel are proud to be representing their client as they seek a Welder/Fabricator to join the fabrication department working out of the Shrewsbury based facility.

Duties

  • Perform MIG & TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, ensuring strong, clean welds that meet quality standards
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication and assembly processes
  • Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure precise cuts and fits
  • Fabricate custom parts by cutting, bending, and welding metal components according to project requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary to meet specifications

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with MIG & TIG welding, welding techniques, and general fabrication processes
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and metalworking principles
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment
  • Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
  • Knowledge of assembly processes for constructing finished products from fabricated parts
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality control
  • Prior experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable
