About The Company

Our client specialize in the design and manufacture of high-quality industrial wheels, castors, and specialized wheel rims. Known for their craftsmanship, flexibility, and engineering expertise, they cater to unique client requirements across a wide range of industries.

Unlike high-volume, automated production lines, their work focuses on bespoke, small-batch manufacturing and custom solutions. They take pride in delivering precision-engineered products built to last.

The Role

They are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricator to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for fabricating and welding custom-manufactured wheel rims and related assemblies.

Because they specialize in bespoke products, your day-to-day work will involve short production runs and custom jobs, requiring strong technical knowledge, versatility, and an eye for precision rather than repetitive mass production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel and other metals to fabricate bespoke wheel rims and components.

  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and job cards to accurately assemble components.

  • Measure, cut, grind, clean, and fit metal components prior to welding.

  • Inspect completed welds to ensure structural integrity and precise adherence to dimensions and tolerances.

  • Work with short-run and prototype designs, offering practical fabrication solutions where required.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a light-to-medium engineering or metal manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in MIG welding and manual fabrication techniques.

  • Ability to read and work confidently from engineering drawings.

  • A precision-driven approach with pride in workmanship—ideal for someone who enjoys varied, hands-on fabrication over repetitive assembly line work.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience.

  • Varied, engaging work.

  • Stable, permanent position within an established specialist manufacturer.

  • On-site parking.
