About the Role

JTEK Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Welder Fabricator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to work on a variety of fabrication and engineering projects across multiple industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding steel components from engineering drawings while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble materials using workshop equipment.
  • Carry out quality inspections on completed work.
  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
  • Assist with on-site installation work when required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Competent in MIG welding.
  • Experience using fabrication machinery and hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • TIG welding experience.
  • Welding qualifications or coded welding certification.
  • Experience with structural steel fabrication.
  • Forklift experience ( training can be provided)
  • CSCS card.
  • Varied and interesting engineering projects.
  • Supportive and professional working environment
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Good Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
