Rhino Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering client based in Usk for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled and friendly team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served welder/fabricator who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working on a diverse range of engineering projects. The successful candidate will join a business that offers genuine long-term career development, with opportunities to progress into supervisory, foreman, or estimating roles.

The Role

You will be working within a busy engineering environment, carrying out a range of fabrication and welding duties, including:

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and sketches
• TIG, MIG, and MMA welding on stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel
• Sheet metal and frame fabrication
• Workshop-based fabrication with occasional site work
• Inspecting and maintaining the quality of your own work and supporting quality standards across the team
• Working safely and adhering to all health and safety procedures
• Supporting project deadlines and undertaking overtime when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Minimum 2 years' welding and fabrication experience
• Strong fabrication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience working from engineering drawings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Flexibility to work overtime when business demands require

Interview Process

All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a practical weld test as part of the interview process.
