About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Welder with a background in heavy industrial, construction, or plant equipment to carry out welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance work on a wide variety of machinery and structural components. You will be an integral part of a skilled team, supporting customers across the region and ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on heavy construction equipment, structural steel, crushing machinery, excavators, material handlers, and associated components.
- Performing fabrication, repair, and reinforcement work to damaged or worn equipment and structures.
- Working in a field-based role across a large regional territory, with regular independent travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications to ensure accurate repairs and fabrication.
- Inspecting completed welds and repairs to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with company standards.
- Working closely with customers on-site to minimise downtime and maintain equipment reliability and performance.

To Be Considered
- Previous experience as a Welder, Fabricator Welder, Structural Welder, or Heavy Equipment Welder.
- Experience working on heavy construction equipment, plant machinery, mining equipment, industrial machinery, or structural steel.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role with regional travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and carry out high-quality fabrication and repair work.
