We are looking for experienced Welders to join major defence engineering projects in Barrow or Govan.
The Role
- Structural steel welding and fabrication to high-quality standards
- Working from engineering drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- FCAW, MAG/MIG, TIG and/or Submerged Arc Welding
- Working with tight tolerances and technical specifications
- Carrying out fitting, alignment, grinding, cleaning and finishing
- Inspecting and checking your own work
- Working safely within a skilled production team
Requirements
- Time-served Engineering Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Strong industrial structural welding experience
- Experience working to WPS and high-quality standards
- Relevant welding qualifications/certifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of SHE and quality requirements
