Welder in Benwell, Newcastle upon Tyne

SG Personnel are working with a large manufacturing company in Newcastle who are looking to recruit a team of welders to work on a temporary to permanent basis for the right candidate.

Duties will include:

• Basic JIG and fixture MIG welding on mild steel from 3-10mm in thickness.
• Conventional machining, grinding, dressing and fettling.

Candidates must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or be a time served welder.

The shift pattern is 2 weeks of dayshift followed by 2 weeks of nightshift. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7.30am-5.15pm on days. Monday to Thursday, 9.30pm-7.15am on nights.

This job is available either on a dayshift only basis (£15.18 per hour) or fortnightly rotating days and nights (£20.19 per hour for nightshift)
