Welding Inspector / NDT Technician

I'm currently recruiting for a Welding Inspector / NDT Technician to join a leading manufacturing business supporting critical UK defence programmes.

This is a hands-on position working within a fabrication and machining environment, undertaking welding inspection, visual examination and NDT activities across complex engineered components.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual weld inspection activities
• Perform MPI and DPI examinations
• Review welding documentation including WPSs and WPQRs
• Support welding quality investigations and NCR activities
• Produce inspection reports and quality documentation
• Liaise with production, welding and quality teams
• Ensure compliance with customer and industry standards

What We're Looking For

• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
• PCN Level 2 MPI (MT)
• PCN Level 2 DPI (PT)
• Experience within fabrication, welding or heavy engineering environments
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding documentation
• Knowledge of welding quality standards and inspection requirements

Desirable

• PCN Level 2 UT
• Supplier quality or auditing experience
• Defence, nuclear, marine or heavy engineering sector experience
