We're looking for a Wellbeing Specialist (Mental Health) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support people experiencing barriers related to confidence, anxiety, wellbeing, motivation and life circumstances, helping them move towards improved wellbeing outcomes and sustainable employment.
 

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Wellbeing Specialist (Mental Health) provides structured interventions designed to address psychological and behavioural barriers that may be preventing participants from moving forward. Through a combination of one-to-one coaching, group workshops and tailored interventions, you'll help individuals build resilience, develop positive routines and overcome barriers preventing them from achieving their goals.
 

You'll work closely with other specialists, Employment Advisors and employers to help participants build confidence, manage barriers and prepare for sustainable work.
 

This role provides an opportunity to combine wellbeing support with meaningful social impact, helping people improve their confidence, resilience and work readiness whilst developing specialist skills in employment-focused wellbeing, behavioural change and mental health support.
 

We particularly welcome applications from recent graduates in Psychology, Health & Social Care, Counselling, Coaching and related disciplines, as well as experienced practitioners looking for a fresh challenge where they can use their skills, be recognised for their expertise and make a genuine difference to the lives of others. Location: Remote, with some travel as and when required in the South West region
 
Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

•    Design suitable interventions and deliver specialist wellbeing support to participants experiencing barriers relating to confidence, anxiety, wellbeing, motivation or life circumstances.
•    Conduct wellbeing assessments and develop personalised wellbeing action plans.
•    Deliver one-to-one coaching that builds confidence, resilience, motivation and work readiness.
•    Design and facilitate group workshops and wellbeing interventions.
•    Support participants to develop positive behaviours, routines and coping strategies that improve wellbeing and employment outcomes.
•    Help participants identify goals, overcome barriers and progress towards sustainable employment.
•    Work collaboratively with specialists, Employment Advisors and wider teams to achieve positive outcomes.
•    Identify participants requiring additional support and make appropriate referrals through agreed pathways.
•    Build effective relationships with employers, stakeholders, local services and community organisations.
•    Maintain accurate records and evidence requirements in line with quality and contractual standards.
•    Contribute to specialist pathway reviews and multidisciplinary case discussions

Skills & Experience

Essential
 
•    Degree, Level 4+ qualification or equivalent experience in Psychology, Health & Social Care, Counselling, Coaching, Mental Health or a related discipline.
•    Experience supporting individuals to overcome psychological and behavioural barriers through coaching, mentoring, wellbeing support or similar interventions
•    Understanding of how confidence, anxiety, motivation, wellbeing and other psychological and behavioural factors can impact progression towards employment and positive life outcomes.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Experience delivering one-to-one support.
•    Ability to support behavioural change and goal setting.
•    Empathy, professionalism and a person-centred approach

 
Desirable
•    Mental Health First Aid qualification.
•    Motivational Interviewing training.
•    Experience within employability, wellbeing, welfare-to-work, education, voluntary or community support services.
•    Understanding of disability, inclusion and workplace wellbeing.
•    Knowledge of local health, wellbeing and community support services.
