Our client is a leading trade-only sign manufacturer, producing high-quality signage for customers across the UK. They are looking for a reliable and motivated Wet Paint Sprayer to join their production team.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Wet Paint Sprayer to join a busy and growing manufacturing team in Leicester on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, spraying, and finishing a range of products to a high standard. This role would suit someone with previous wet spraying, painting, or manufacturing experience who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and preparation.
  • Apply wet paint using spray-painting equipment to achieve an even and high-quality finish.
  • Mix and prepare paints and coatings in line with job specifications.
  • Check finished products for colour, coverage, consistency, and overall quality.
  • Identify and correct imperfections or defects where required.
  • Follow job sheets, production instructions, and customer specifications.
  • Safely handle and move components throughout the preparation and painting process.
  • Maintain spray equipment and report any faults or issues.
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures, including appropriate PPE requirements.
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in wet paint spraying, industrial painting, or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of surface preparation and paint application.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality finishes.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions and production specifications accurately.
  • Good organisational skills and a reliable approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a permanent position.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using spray guns and other painting equipment.
  • Experience with different types of paints, coatings, or finishes.
  • Experience working with metal, aluminium, or manufactured components.
  • Previous experience within fabrication, signage, engineering, or general manufacturing.
