Wiremen

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Wiremen on a 2-month Contract, located in the North Wales.

We are currently recruiting experienced Wiremen to support works on a National Grid substation project in North Wales. Candidates must have previous experience working within National Grid substations and hold the relevant site access/safety certification.

Wiremen – Responsibilities

· Glanding and terminating LV/control cables

· Multicore cable installation and termination

· Control and protection wiring

· Panel and equipment wiring

· Reading and working from electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams

· Cable identification, dressing and containment

· Carrying out works to National Grid standards and site procedures

· Supporting testing and commissioning teams where required

· Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site safety

Essential Requirements

Candidates must have:

· National Grid Persons

· ECS / CSCS / EMSS / CCNSG or relevant equivalent certification

· Previous experience working on National Grid substations

· Relevant Wireman experience

· Strong understanding of substation site safety and procedures

· Ability to work effectively as part of a site installation team

Previous experience working on HV/EHV substation projects, GIS installations, primary plant or protection & control systems would be highly advantageous.
